A childhood passion, seldom expressed in the dreary struggles of the pathway of growing up in life, did never leave Sutapa Mukhopadhyay ever. It was in the latter half of her life that she took up her passion in poetry and recitation to reach many who would delight in the ethereal charm and sweetness of classical Bengali poetry.
In addition to her regular engagement in teaching profession as a lecturer in history and authorship of a number of books published in the recent past, she’s been actively pursuing her passion that has manifested in terms of publication of a number of audio CD’s, TV programs and books in Bengali poetry. She has an active audience that has often been captivated and endeared by her charming and animated recitation of Bengali poetry.
